Vă așteptăm luni, 20.04.2026, în amfiteatrul K2 de la Centrul de conferințe UPT, în intervalul 9–10, la prezentarea dnei arhitect Tania Fermín Brens din Republica Dominicană, Santo Domingo, Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), despre proiectul EVA (Experiential Art Spaces), o inițiativă academică și culturală care promovează intersecția dintre artă, spațiu urban și sustenabilitate prin instalații efemere construite cu materiale reciclate.
Tania Fermín Brens is a Dominican architect with a strong academic and professional trajectory that integrates design, education, and research. She holds a master’s degree in interior architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), in collaboration with the University of A Coruña, Spain (2017–2019), as well as a Master’s degree in Higher Education from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) (2003–2005). She earned her bachelor’s degree in architecture from UNIBE (1988–1995), complementing her education with numerous diplomas and specialized training in design, sustainability, art, and pedagogy. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of A Coruña, in the field of Theory and History of Architecture.
In her professional practice, she has developed an extensive career in architectural design, interior design, and ephemeral installations, working on residential, commercial, museography, and tourism-related projects. Her portfolio includes the design of houses, villas, offices, and commercial spaces, as well as the conceptualization and execution of exhibition stands and installations for major institutions and companies. Her work is distinguished by the integration of contemporary design approaches, local identity, and innovative uses of materials.
In the academic field, she has over two decades of experience as a university professor, teaching courses in architectural design, creative expression, interior design, and ephemeral architecture. She has held faculty positions at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and currently serves as professor and curriculum coordinator at the School of Architecture and Design at PUCMM. Her academic work extends beyond teaching to include curriculum development, thesis advising, and participation as a juror in academic evaluations, contributing significantly to the formation of future architects and designers.
She is also the creator and coordinator of the EVA Project (Experiential Art Spaces), an academic and cultural initiative that promotes the intersection of art, urban space, and sustainability through ephemeral installations constructed with recycled materials. Through this platform, she fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, experiential learning, and public engagement. Her work integrates teaching, research, and professional practice, emphasizing critical thinking, ecological awareness, and social responsibility within the discipline of architecture.
