Design Biomimetic

OBIECTIVE DIDACTICE:

Obiectivele generale ale disciplinei de Design Biomimetic vizează înțelegerea conceptelor asociate cu Designul Biomimetic, particularitățile legate de biofilie și sustenabilitate pentru a le utiliza în mod corespunzător în lucrări și proiecte viitoare.
Cunoașterea principiilor biomimetismului, atât din punct de vedere terminologic, cât și din punct de vedere a posibilităților de definire formală și materială a acestora, si utilizezarea cunoștințele dobândite pentru a explica și interpreta adecvarea proiectelor realizate în domeniul arhitecturii interioare și mobilierului la principiile designului biomimetic, sunt esentiale pentru dezvoltarea viitorilor profesionisti in arhitectura de interior.
Cursul trateaza aspect generale privind Biomimetismul, aplicabilitatea in viata cotidiana, moduri de analiza si functionare a lumii naturale prin soluții bottom-up și top-down, scopul final fiind dezvoltarea capacității de a rezolva probleme de funcționalitate, formă și materialitate în design apeland la soluții regasite sau inspirate din natura.

METODE de LUCRU: 

Seminarul presupune realizarea a șapte teme distincte, corelate pe de o parte cu materialul de curs și cu proiectele anterioare și viitoare ale studentului, dar și cu aspecte din viața sa de zi cu zi. Astfel, studentul înțelege aplicabilitatea principiilor teoretice discutate în curs și devine capabil să le integreze în practică.

TEACHING OBJECTIVES:

The general objectives of the Biomimetic Design discipline are aimed at understanding the concepts associated with Biomimetic Design, the particularities related to biophilia and sustainability in order to use them appropriately in future works and projects.
Knowledge of the principles of biomimicry, both from the terminological point of view and from the point of view of the possibilities of their formal and material definition, and the use of the acquired knowledge to explain and interpret the adequacy of the projects carried out in the field of interior architecture and furniture to the principles of biomimetic design, are essential for the development of future professionals in interior architecture.
The course deals with general aspects regarding Biomimicry, applicability in everyday life, ways of analyzing and functioning the natural world through bottom-up and top-down solutions, the ultimate goal being to develop the ability to solve problems of functionality, form and materiality in design by resorting to solutions found or inspired by nature.

WORKING METHODS:

The seminar involves the realization of seven distinct themes, correlated on the one hand with the course material and with the student’s previous and future projects, but also with aspects of his daily life. Thus, the student understands the applicability of the theoretical principles discussed in the course and becomes able to integrate them into practice.
